OUR Goal at Tora Shotokan Karate Association

The main Vision of Tora Shotokan all India is to become such a platform for the open minded individuals / team where they can learn traditional Japanese Shotokan Styles. We believe an individual's passion and urge to learn an Art like Karate is more important than getting affiliated to a particular karate style. TSKA is not only to practice Shotokan Karate but also to cultivate character through the Karate Road. For us, Karate is not just a physical activity we do a few hours a week, but a philosophy and attitude to life. Our goal is to apply the principles and values ​​of Karate, physical and moral, in our daily lives. Our founder We invite applications for Dojos from any Club / District / State/ South and Middle East Asian Countries, practicing Karate Styles .our dojo, we become a family. We give and take Respect. The associated Dojos are strictly adviced to keep contact with us without any faults. To share the life of karate within us to others, who actually want to learn the art of Karate by becoming an International Center of Education teaching the traditional values of Karatedo. Training of the best skills in Kumite, and traditional Kata's, also welcome friendship from all over the world.

About Founder of shotokan

GICHIN FUNAKOSHI FATHER OF MODERN KARATE

(船越 義珍, Funakoshi Gichin, November 10, 1868 – April 26, 1957) was the founder of Shotokan karate-do, perhaps the most widely known style of karate, and is known as a "father of modern karate".[2] Following the teachings of Anko Itosu and Anko Asato,[3][4] he was one of the Okinawan karate masters who introduced karate to the Japanese mainland in 1922, following its earlier introduction by his teacher Itosu. He taught karate at various Japanese universities and became honorary head of the Japan Karate Association upon its establishment in 1949.

SHIHAN KENNETH FUNAKOSHI

Shihan Kenneth Funakoshi, founder and chief instructor of the Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association is fourth cousin to Master Gichin Funakoshi – the founder of Modern Shotokan. He started judo training in 1948 under Arakaki Sensei at the Fort Gakuen Japanese Language School in Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended Farrington High School in the Kalihi District and was on the football team and captain of the Territory of Hawaii (Hawaii was not a state yet) Championship swim team. While attending at the University of Hawaii on a swimming scholarship Funakoshi Sensei started Kempo training under Adriano Emperado from 1956 to 1959.

Funakoshi moved to San Jose, California to teach karate in December 1986, in 1987, the non-political Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association was founded with its world headquarters now in Milpitas, CA and affiliates throughout the United States, Mexico, Europe, Africa, Middle East and South America.

GRAND MASTER SOKE KEVIN FUNAKOSHI

Sensei Kevin Funakoshi is a certified 9th Dan under Black Belt Hall of Fame inductee and founder of FSKA Shihan Kenneth Funakoshi (cousin to the founder of Shotokan Karate, Gichin Funakoshi also known as the "Father of Modern Karate"). Sensei Kevin Funakoshi started training in 1966 under Shihan Kenneth Funakoshi at the original Hawaii JKA dojo in Honolulu, Hawaii. Following the Funakoshi legacy as a Kumite and Kata Champion at the highest levels of competition Sensei Kevin Funakoshi is now dedicated to bring out the maximum potential from the current generation of Karate students. Sensei Kevin Funakoshi also conducts seminars and examinations here in USA and internationally to affiliate schools as well as non-affiliate clubs

ABOUT BRIEF HISTORY OF CHIEF

Shihan Ramsheed Founder of TSKA Chief Instructor and Chairman ,He born in 1985 in India . He has been practicing martial arts since his tender age. He received his Shodan degree from Late Dr.Shihan K.M BASHA , thereafter he never saw back and moved forward with his unquenchable desire to learn every aspect of martial art. He established his first dojo “International Shotokan Academy” in 2005 . which later changed to the name of “Tora Shotokan Karate Association ”. Then, along with his own practice, he started imparting training to the children, youngsters and general civilians. He then joined the Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association World , FSKA .to provide a better future for the karatekas of TSKA Dojos and increased his knowledge under the guidance of some good senior masters of India.and Abroad. After this, in between Shihan Ramsheed got the opportunity to earn knowledge of karate from Grand Master Soke kevin funakoshi. Now was the time when the branches of TSKA Dojo had spread to many states of India and it was required to stable an organization to promote and control the activities of Tora Shotokan Afflaited Dojo and to provide a politics free sporting environment to all its members. And, the International Tora Shotokan Karate Association was formed officially which was recognized in the year 2020 from the then representative member of WKF .FSKA WORLD.AND WKMA .
